Birthday Party and Bavarian Extravaganza

Friday! We made it through the first week of school and to celebrate we had our 5th school birthday party. With the most enormous cake I have ever seen, we kicked off the party. I mingled with parents, goofed off with staff and gained a new best friend in Wolfie, Andy and Vickie's 8 month old son. We danced to the jazz band, jumped and jumped and jumped and quoted Monty Python and the Holy Grail until Wolfie started to pass out only as babies can do where they are so happy to be there then *clunk* he was out...and then he was back!

After the school party, we were supposed to go to the Augsburg Plaerrer, our equivalent to Oktoberfest, but all the tables in the beer tents were booked. So Dagmar and Geoff graciously invited us all over to the Abbott Plaerrer! It was a blast and ten times more fun than the Augsburg Plaerrer!
